爱尔兰唐道克理工学院国际生欢迎日上周来开帷幕。超过500余位国际生在他们开学的第一天参加了包括音乐、戏剧和舞蹈在内的各种欢迎仪式。这500多名国际生中包括来自中国，马来西亚，新加坡，印度，尼泊尔和阿曼的360多位学生和150多位DKIT欧洲合作院校Erasmus交换项目学生。
唐道克理工学院的国际办公室向国际学生提供强有力的后备支持，其服务项目包括学术、移民，和住宿等方面。为了扩大服务面，DKIT国际办公室与新建的Erasmus Student Network (ESN) International 强强联手。
International Welcome Days got off to a flying start at DkIT last week, as new international students joined in a welcome reception of
music, theatre, and dancing during their first day on campus.
There are 500+ International students at DkIT, made up of over 360 students from countries including China, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Nepal, and Oman, along with 150 Erasmus exchange students from DkIT’s European partner colleges. DkIT is a popular destination for international students, with some looking to extend their exchange stay at DkIT. The International Office at DkIT is the first port-of-call for the international student community, many of whom look for assistance with academic issues, support with immigration,accommodation advice, and pastoral care. In addition to recruiting and supporting incoming and outbound students, the DkIT International Office also supports international student integration through the new Erasmus Student Network (ESN) International on campus.
Erasmus Student Network (ESN) International promises fun events and social activities for international students throughout the year, with opportunities for international, Irish and Erasmus students to socialise and learn about each other’s culture. There are currently over 400 branches of ESN world-wide, and DkIT is just one of 3 colleges in Ireland to have ESN International on campus. The Network also gives international students the chance to become involved in extracurricular activities such as volunteering, or partaking in language exchange off-campus. Study abroad is mapped to almost all programmes at DkIT, and students can develop fluency in a foreign language by studying at one of the Institute’s many partner colleges in France, Germany, or Spain for a year. Multinationals like PayPal have up to a 1000 career opportunities locally for graduates with much-needed language skills.
Students can also opt to study through English abroad, as many of the European partner colleges are now offering modules taught through English. The Institute also has a number of linked colleges in the USA, Canada, and Asia for those wishing to study outside of Europe. There are opportunities too for DkIT business graduates to apply for an extended internship post-Degree in the Institute’s offices in China.
